USA Ambassador to Tanzania H.E Alfonso Lenhardt (centre) says goodbye to Tanzania as he
accomplished his tour of duty after four years of service. The envoy speaking
to the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Tanzania Hon. Job Ndugai PM ® urged
the Members of Parliament to consider Tanzania First (Tanzania Kwanza) in
whatsoever they do…. “be it working for new constitution, fighting corruption,
fighting poverty, inviting investors to the country, working with partner
states, strengthening Union and the like…..

Lenhardt visited the House in Dodoma to bid farewell just before he leaves the
country early in October. He assured the House to keep in touch as he confessed
to “have left his heart” in Africa and in particular Tanzania. He asked the MPs
and Tanzanians at large to accept and work diligently with the new envoy who is
due by the middle of October 2013.
